Introduction to GSA 8(a) STARS II

The 8(a) STARS II is a small business set-aside Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) with a $10 billion program ceiling and a five-year base period with one five-year option. Spatial Front was awarded two constellations based on corporate accreditation. Both constellations have competitive pricing and technical proficiency. Constellation II requires SFI's additional industry credentials, such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) or ISO 9001. In both constellations, SFI can leverage four functional areas to meet our customer's mission requirements: 1) Custom Computer Programming Services, 2) Computer Systems Design Services, 3) Computer Facilities Management Services, and 4) Other Computer Related Services. Benefits to our customers using 8(a) STARS II are the following:

  • Allows our customers the ability for long-term planning of large-scale program requirements
  • Streamlined process for shorter procurement lead time
  • Protest limitations based on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2008
  • Strengthens Agency opportunities for 8(a) small businesses
  • Accommodates directed task orders up to $4 Million, including options
